The first humanoid that swaps its own battery, in mass delivery with a nine-figure order backlog in China.
The main field guide selects 14 companion robots for deeper review. This entry belongs to a separate 53-record index that also covers industrial, research, and developer systems.
Walker S2 is UBTech's industrial humanoid and China's volume leader in factory deployments. Its signature feature is a world first: fully autonomous battery hot-swapping, with the robot exchanging its own dual batteries in about three minutes for near-continuous operation. Mass production and paid deliveries began in mid-November 2025 with launch orders exceeding 800 million yuan.
UBTech, listed in Hong Kong, delivered roughly 1,000 humanoids across its lines in 2025 (about 1.3 billion yuan in product sales) to customers including automakers and electronics manufacturers, with a reported backlog around 1.4 billion yuan by June 2026 and a 2026 target of 10,000 humanoid deliveries. The Walker line has worked in BYD, Foxconn and other plants since earlier generations.
Per-unit pricing has never been published; sales are enterprise quotes. A consumer-oriented sibling, Walker C1, began appearing in mid-2026 as UBTech tests the companion market.
