By LG Electronics · South Korea · announced January 2026
LG's laundry-folding home robot concept, star of CES 2026 and heir to the never-launched Q9.
The main field guide selects 14 companion robots for deeper review. This entry belongs to a separate 53-record index that also covers industrial, research, and developer systems.
CLOiD is LG's home robot, presented at CES 2026 as the centerpiece of a 'Zero Labor Home': a wheeled robot with arms shown folding laundry and handling household tasks in booth demonstrations. It builds on the CLOi service-robot line and the Q9 AI-agent program, whose own planned 2025 Korea launch never visibly materialized.
LG announced no price and no release date, and the company's home-robot history counsels patience: the Q9 reached beta testing with a developer site and a Microsoft AI partnership, then went quiet as a consumer product. CLOiD is best read as LG's statement of direction, backed by real appliance-scale manufacturing should it ever commit.
Every capability shown so far is a trade-show demonstration.
